Can I ride my mobility products outside?
Yes, powerchair and scooters are designed to be ridden inside and outside. Most Scooters are not weLC-designed for indoor use, though. Powerchairs are often much more suitable for indoor use.
How far can I go on one full charge of the batteries?
That depends on the type of terrain you're on, your weight, the temperature, and other conditions, please consult the specifications for each scooter and powerchair to view their projected full charge ranges. They can range anywhere from 10-20 miles on new batteries with a full charge.
How long will a set of batteries last?
That depends on how often you charge them, and the type of use you give them, but generally, a set of batteries should last AT LEAST one to one and a half years on a small scooter/powerchair and longer on larger equipment if you charge them daily.
What if I have problems with my scooter or powerchair?
All our powerchairs and scooters are covered by a comprehensive warranty. Often parts and services are covered by you insurance if they provided the equipment.
Are spare parts available?
Yes, a full selection of spare parts is on hand.
Can I ride my scooter on the road?
Scooters and Powerchairs are a "pedestrian mobility device", and is intended for use on sidewalks. You should only ride on the roadway when no sidewalk is available. Always ride with care.
Do I need a license for my scooter or powerchair?
No license is required.
Can I carry passengers on my scooter or powerchair?
No, they are rated for just the driver.
Is there any maintenance required?
The only user maintenance is to charge the batteries daily, and keep machine clean with a damp, soft cloth.
Can I take my scooter on an airplane or cruise ship?
Yes, all powerchair and scooter batteries are sealed, non-spillable batteries. Please contact the specific airline for instructions.
